Kerrie opened IPAS in 1989 in a small scout hall in Keilor Park and has grown the studio to what it is today with more that 250 students in Tullamarine.

Kerrie has worked as a professional dancer in the late 80s, also teaching for various schools and studios in Victoria and interstate. Her performing and teaching experience inspired Kerrie to open a studio of her own and help others share the same happiness and joy she gets through dance and the performing arts.

A qualified Southern Federation of Dance teacher and a Cert IV in Assessment and Training holder, Kerrie has experience training students of all ages from two years of age through to adults in many different dance styles. She is passionate and dedicated in encouraging all students to achieve their highest potential and holds pride in watching her students grow and improve as performers. Many of her students including current IPAS staff have ventured into the professional performing arts industry with great success.

Students she trained both part time and full time have worked in venues such as Moulin Rouge Paris, Universal Studios Japan and Singapore, Disney Studios Japan as well as many major Australian productions. Kerrie also regularly works as a choreographer for various corporate shows around Victoria and is an agent for Showtime Attractions and Royal Casino Productions.

Melanie has been involved in the classical and contemporary field for over 30 years, with extensive teaching and choreographic experience spanning over two decades. While training at an elite level at both the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and VCA she had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers, including Jonathon Taylor, Anna Smith, Rochelle Carmichael and Sandra Parker.

 

In 2000, Melanie performed with Marc Brew’s DanceAbility in its debut performance, and was also a co-founder, choreographer and performer with independent contemporary company, Shandy Independent Dance where her works received favourable reviews.

 

Melanie has been teaching ballet, pointe, contemporary and other styles at IPAS for over 20 years. She currently holds Licentiate status with the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Society and also holds a Cert IV in Dance Teaching & Management. She has been successfully entering students for Cecchetti exams for over 10 years with excellent results in all levels.  Melanie also currently assists with the Cecchetti program at VCASS.
Jenni Wall
Jenni Wall

Jenni has a vast wealth of teaching experience and has completed teaching certificates for classical ballet exams for both the Cecchetti Method and Southern Federation of Dance syllabi. Before accepting a position as a ballet teacher at IPAS, Jenni ran her own successful dance studio for many years and during her teaching career has entered many students into ballet exams in both Cecchetti and SFD with wonderful results.

Jenni has not only had extensive experience in training individuals and groups in classical ballet for dance performances and competitions, but she also trained and choreographed floor routines for National and Elite Gymnastic students.

Jacqui Dawson
Jacqui Dawson

Jacqui has trained in all styles of dance having successfully participated and then choreographed for dance competitions and examinations.

Jacqui is an examiner of Southern Federation of Dance in Jazz as well as all levels of tap up to teaching certificate. Jacqui has extensive industry experience having taught and examined all over Australia.

Over her many years training and assessing Jacqui has trained many dancers who have gone on to have professional careers in the entertainment industry.

Lauren Anderson
Lauren Anderson

Lauren is back teaching for the IPAS family after performing as a singer/dancer on many ships around the world and in “Wicked” at Universal Studios, as well as performing in London most recently.

Lauren has been a singer and dancer all over the world and has extensive experience and training in the Musical Theatre World, she has trained at the studio made famous by the TV Show “Pineapple Dance Studio”. Lauren has recently completed her teaching accreditation with ATOD.

Brianna Anderson

Brianna has been a part of the IPAS family since it opened in 1989, performing in her first concert at the age of 2. After completing her Certificate II in Dance and Certificate IV in Performing Arts with IPAS, she was immediately offered a contract with Princess Cruises, performing in 4 shows whilst sailing around the world.

 

In 2008 Brianna was offered a position at the world famous MOULIN ROUGE in Paris, which she accepted, and where she performed almost every night for 4 years.While at the Moulin Rouge, Brianna was one of few girls to perform every role in the show including the principal role, soloist, the historical Can-Can and she also performed in the infamous water tank with several pythons. During her time in Paris, Brianna appeared in numerous Magazines, TV shows and performances all over Europe, including headlining for the Moulin Rouge in Moscow late in 2011, and most recently performing the Can-Can in Times Square with the Moulin Rouge’s tour to New York in 2015.

 

Brianna has recently completed her Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management with ATOD and become an examiner of Southern Federation of Dance in Jazz and Tap. After 6 years abroad, Brianna is excited to be able to give back to IPAS and help other dancers achieve their dreams in the field of the performing arts.
Sheridan Anderson
Sheridan Anderson
Sheridan has been a part of the Isolation family since the age of two and at fifteen she started working professionally as a dancer. After a year of professional training and completing a Certificate IV in Performing Arts, Sheridan worked for Royal Caribbean as a dancer and aerialist. She then continued full-time training at Broadway Dance Center in New York, from which she received a scholarship from Emmy award winner Joshua Bergasse, (“Smash”), to attend his Musical Theatre Workshop.

Over the past three years Sheridan has continued to study with some of Broadways finest directors and choreographers, as well as performing in shows across Australia. Most recently she appeared as Graziella in The Production Company’s 2015 season of “West Side Story”. Sheridan also recently appeared in “Pippin”, the musical workshop of “Our House” and Michael Ralph’s premiere show “Now & Then”.

 

For the past ten years, Sheridan has been teaching all styles of dance and whenever she is home she loves to share her knowledge and experiences with students of all ages. Sheridan also has a passion for keeping fit and is a qualified Xtend Barre Instructor. She is currently performing in the hit musical tour of We Will Rock You at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne.

Jasmine has been a part of the IPAS family since the age of 10. During her years of training she competed at many competitions and eisteddfods as part of our Elite Team and also as a soloist. She was a successful competition aggregate winner as well as the holder of the Southern Federation of Dance Scholarship.

Over the past several years Jasmine has trained many soloists and groups to the highest level of competition, while still working as a professional dancer around Melbourne. Jasmine has performed in various corporate and entertainment gigs, as well as being a member of the highly successful burlesque dance group, Qetesh.

Brendan Daynes
Brendan Daynes

Brendan has been with the IPAS family for over 10 years, having completed full time accredited training at our studio. He has worked professionally in the corporate entertainment scene for many years as a dancer/singer, working with many high profile artists.

Brendan also works extensively in children’s entertainment and has toured Australia and New Zealand with many companies, including Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. He teaches at various schools across Victoria and his students range from babies through to adults. He holds a Cert IV in Assessment and Training and is highly sought-after for teaching VET Dance in the VCE. Brendan is in demand as a creative director and choreographer and has worked for many large and well-known corporate clients. He and his work have been seen in nightclub shows, flash mobs, corporate and private events. Brendan also conceived and created his own cab-burlesque group, Qetesh.

Annette is a Musician and Music Teacher. She has taught Music in Primary and Secondary Schools as well as teaching Piano, Singing and Theory privately.

Annette has performed in Piano Bars, Restaurants, Bands and was a member of ZzazZ Entertainment, providing a variety of music ranging from quiet dinner music, dance music, audience sing-a-longs to comedy and cabaret floorshows.

Annette has prepared students for ANZCA and AMEB Singing and Piano exams, VCE Solo Performance Singing and Piano, auditions and concerts, conducted choirs and orchestras, taught drama and produced school musicals. Annette is committed to providing students with a positive music experience.

Meg has been training in all styles of dance since she was 3 years of age. She has successfully completed many ballet exams in the Cecchetti Method,and also Southern Federation of Dance Tap Exams, receiving high marks for all. Over the past few years Meg has been teaching many classes and soloists at IPAS whilst also continuing her own dance training at our studio. Since 2009 Meg has been entering IPAS students into SFD tap exams with students receiving fantastic results.

Meg has completed her Certificate II in Dance, for which she received a perfect score for VET Dance in the VCE, and in 2009 she was awarded a Premiers Award for receiving one of the highest scores in Australia for dance. Meg also works professionally all over Melbourne, performing atvarious corporate events as well as in children’s entertainment. She has also worked with well-known choreographers such as Alan Scandlen.

In 2015 Meg completed her Masters of Teaching Degree at the University of Melbourne and was also selected as an assessor for VET Dance in the VCE. Most recently she has become a registered Southern Federation of Dance teacher.

 

Francesca Buscema
Francesca Buscema

Francesca has been part of the IPAS family for well over 10 years. During her time representing the studio at various eisteddfods and competitions she was a successful jazz and theatrical (song and dance) championship holder. Over her years of dance training Francesca has successfully completed many examinations with fantastic results. She has completed a Certificate II in Dance, receiving a perfect score for VET Dance in the VCE.

Francesca regularly works in and around Melbourne as a professional singer and dancer at various corporate functions. She has modelled for Alannah Hill and L’Oreal and has made several television appearances in programs such as “Neighbours” and “Winners & Losers”. In 2015 she performed as a dancer in the AFC Asian Cup Australia Opening Ceremony. Francesca is also regularly employed in children’s entertainment with many companies including Nickelodeon. She is currently completing a full time Performing Arts course and will be performing in Amore Cabaret.


Miki Minakami

Miki started dancing as soon as she could walk, being the daughter of professional dancer Michelle Faiers.

Miki was competing and winning aggregates from age 6 dancing with IPAS and at Michelle’s studio Faierstar Dancers. Faierstar became part of the IPAS family when Michelle passed away but Miki has been training and teaching at IPAS for many years and may re-open Faierstar one day.

Miki regularly performs at corporate events all over Melbourne, having performed as a dancer and model for people such as Alannah Hill and L’Oreal. Miki has completed many Cecchetti examinations as well as completing Certificate II in Dance for which she received a Premiers Award for one of the highest scores in Australia for VET dance.

Laura Inglesi

Laura started dancing at the age of 5 at Isolation Performing Arts Studio, where she received the majority of her training. Most recently she completed a 2 year Musical Theatre course at Patrick Studios Australia, where she was awarded a scholarship.
One of Laura’s highlights as a performer was playing the character of Shewolf at Universal Studios in Singapore, 2009. Laura has also performed on the Pacific Star P&O cruise ship, which toured throughout the South Pacific and has also completed a contract performing with Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships. Laura has appeared on various television programs including “Neighbours” and “Last Man Standing”. Her movie credits include “Love’s Brother” and “Kath & Kim”.
Laura performed at the 2013 Federation Square New Year’s Eve celebrations with ‘Neda and the All Colour Project’, and the 2014 New Year’s Eve celebrations with the Bio Elumanesence Neon Party. She currently performs regularly with “Katumba Latin Entertainment”. Most recently she performed in The Production Company’s Funny Girl.
Jazmin Varlet
Jazmin Varlet

Jazmin joined the IPAS family over 6 years ago, training with us in all dance styles. It was at IPAS she discovered her passion for singing and love of commercial hip hop. She has over 10 years of experience in both the dance and music industries. At the age of 14, Jazmin toured the United States with the Australian Institute of Performing Arts Glee Club Australia, performing at many iconic venues, including Disneyland, Universal Studios LA and Hollywood Boulevard. She was also invited to take part in acting intensives with the Atlantic Theatre Company, where she trained under the guidance of film stars Felicity Huffman, Elisabeth Olsen and William H. Macy.

Jazmin has worked alongside well-known recording artists and industry professionals, such as Printz Board (creator of The Black-Eyed Peas), Justice Crew, Stan Walker and Guy Sebastian. She is vocally trained by Chris Sebastian, brother of Guy Sebastian. In 2014, Jazmin appeared in the Australian television series, The X-Factor, where she was selected into the top 25 girls in the country. Since then she has developed a flourishing modelling, singing and dancing career, recently becoming a national finalist for the Miss Country Girl Australia competition and also a state finalist for Miss V8 Supercars. Jazmin works regularly as a singer/dancer/model at various events throughout Melbourne and Sydney and loves sharing her passion for the arts with her students.

Jeffrey Trinidad
Jeffrey Trinidad

Jeffrey started training at IPAS in 2001. During that time he trained in all styles of dance, singing and acting, completing Certificate IV in Performing Arts (Professional Entertainer) with us in 2008. He also completed the Certificate II in Dance the previous year, for which he received perfect marks and was awarded a Victorian Premiers Award for Excellence in Dance.

Jeffrey moved on to professional work with many corporate gigs in Melbourne and interstate including soloist dancer at Red Ball as well as the tribute shows Elvis 68 Comeback tour and the Ultimate Kyle Show. Jeffrey has travelled the world with Royal Caribbean Cruise liners performing in many of their fantastic productions.

Jeffrey performed in the very successful Australian production of “The Lion King” in Melbourne and Sydney.

Laura started training at IPAS in 2007.  She has since completed many Cecchetti ballet exams up to Advanced One, receiving Honours for the majority. Laura has completed a Certificate II in Dance, for VET dance in the VCE, receiving a score of 45.  During her many years performing and competing with the IPAS Elite team and as a soloist, Laura has won many awards and aggregates. She has also appeared in various performance events around Melbourne, including the Myer Christmas parade, hair-shows and Charity functions.

Steph started dancing at the age of 5 and has been at IPAS since 2008. She has trained in all styles of dance and has completed Southern Federation of Dance tap exams, as well as CSTD jazz and ballet exams with great results. Over the years she has represented the studio at many competitions and eisteddfods as a member of the IPAS Elite team and as a soloist. In 2015, she performed at the AFC Asian Cup Australia Opening Ceremony as a dancer, as well as continuing her work with children’s entertainment.

Renae Daynes
Renae Daynes

Renae started training at the age of 3 and has been with IPAS for 15 years, training in all styles; including Southern Federation of Dance tap exams (level 10), Cecchetti ballet exams and competitions, as a soloist and a member of the elite team. Renae continues to represent IPAS at singing competitions around the state. She has completed Certificate II in Dance for VET in the VCE and has completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in drama. Renae is currently completing a Master of Education to become a fully qualified drama teacher.

Bradley Smith
Bradley Smith

Bradley is set to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2017, with an avid interest in biomechanics and anatomy for dance & acrobatics. Bradley recently qualified as an Acrobatics Art Module One Certified Teacher and will be implementing the levels into the acrobatics program at IPAS.

Bradley has been a part of the IPAS family since 2006, beginning with break dance & hip hop and progressing to all styles including ballet, jazz, tap & contemporary. Throughout his time at IPAS he has represented the studio as a part of the elite teams, solos & duos and has completed several levels of Cecchetti ballet exams. Over the years he has performed in many corporate functions, most notably showing off his acrobatics at the Australian Open. He has appeared in Hair & Makeup shows as well as professional stage shows. Bradley completed his Certificate II in Dance in the VCE VET receiving a score of 45.
